I hear ya on that one, I think it would save them alot of money, instead of having to make 2 phones they can make one.

But then again, I guess they'd lose money on that as well, I really dont know 😕

It could be that they are having difficulty with making a quadband antena that gets acceptable reception. Don't know, just guessing.

whats the point? most areas that international customers go to are in either the 1800 mhz band (rest of the world) or 1900 mhz band (in the US) and it would probably make the actual handset larger to make it quadband. These are just a few reasons that manufacturers only make triband handsets. I personally have a triband Nokia 6620 handset but I keep an old v400 just in case.

Hmm, how does Motorola make a phone (V551/V3 Razor Size) quadband? I'm sure SE can do better than this. Also, why no #@^&*& Bluetooth on this phone????

Peace.

Entry level phones rarely have bluetooth. End of story. Deal with it.

Just because one company can easly make a quadband phone, that doesn't mean they all can. Again, with an entry level it may cost too much to add it in and make it cheap.

If you take the v551 or even the v3 and put it into a bar form factor its not going to be as small as before. but id say that price is more of an issue than actually being able to cram quad band into a phone.
