Hello.

I just got a Nokia 6030 from Cingular here in the US and have been
trying to hook it up to my computer. According to both Nokia and
Cingular (who was probably told by Nokia) the phone has no official
cable connectors and that the only way to transfer stuff to it would be
through WAP.

I did some research on my own and came across a few websites that list
some unofficial cables. I also keep coming across contradicting posts.
Some say that you cannot connect it, others say that you can connect
it. And those who claim to have been successful have posted information
which is insufficient and terrible (I mean painfully terrible) to read.
Here's some links for your amusement:

Unfortunately sterc, Nokia PC Suite is not supported on this phone. I believe Cingular has a backup service you can subscribe to for a small monthly fee, which is why, I believe, more of Nokias phones are not supporting Nokias backup software, PC Suite,......because their carriers don't want them to.

See my review on this phone here on 8/1/07.

BTW, find yourself a phone that has the industry agreed on wireless backup/sync standard called SyncML. Then wirelessly, effortlessly, and FREEly backup/recover data from your phone model, and across any phone model having the SyncML Client bilt in, at ZYB.Com
