Anyone use this phone in the US?

I know that no cell company carries this phone in the US, but is anyone using it in the US? I'm thinking about getting it to use with my Cingular service, just a bit worried about the GSM 850 networks.

Anyone using it with Cingular or maybe T-Mobile in the US?

I've also used it with a Cingular SIM card as well. It works great with both.

Few questions. What area are you located in? Also, how is it that you've used it with both T-Mobile and Cingular? (Forgive me for prying, but a response like that sounds a lot like one someone selling the phone on eBay might post).

I'm using mine with T-mobile too. I just received mine in the mail today and I just signed up with T-Mobile on Friday. Since the reception was only supposed to be fair in my area (northern Maryland near the PA border) I wanted to test the reception so I bought a used Samsung SGH-R225 for $50. The reception on there was GREAT -- averaging 4-5 bars and sometimes 6! On the Sony Ericsson, I average 2 bars, and sometimes 1 -- my call has been dropped 2 or 3 times. I'm very disappointed but can't return the phone now. T-Mobile doesn't have the phone in their system so they couldn't give me the settings. Ergo no picture messaging, internet, etc... 😡

Regretting I ever bought this phone...

Wondering why you love yours so much?

This is everything you need for settings. Also check your firmware to see if it needs to be updated! Email me at mscholl60521@yahoo.com if I can help! Thanks

Thanks headbub! Actually, the day after I posted this message, I found the settings! I have HORRIBLE reception in my area though. I've had my K750 for 3 days now (6/21) and it's been the same since I've bought the phone. I just signed up with T-Mobile a week ago (6/17) and bought a used phone because I wanted to see what coverage was like in my area before I purchased a more expensive phone. The used phone I bought was a Samsung SGH-r225. That phone consistenly had 5-6 bars of strength (mostly 5 bars) so naturally I was pleased and thought the K750 would be just at least as good if not better -- seeing as how it was newer with better technology. My K750 only keeps 2 bars -- both phones support only the GSM 1900 and the place where I b...

I'm located in upper MA and I actually have no problems at all with reception. Well, I won't say no problems AT ALL, but virtually none. My old phone, that supported 850 as well, had better overall service. But the service wasn't that much better overcome the advantages of the K750.

check with T-Mobile and see if their networks in your area of coverage support GSM 1900. the problem with the K750 (and W800) is it doesn't support GSM 850, which is the main network in the US.

i too am finding out the hard way. cingular had great GSM 1900 network but just sold those towers to AllTel. now i have to consider changing carriers or get another phone.

the K750 is one of the best phones I've found so i'm looking for a new carrier.

I am using it on Cingular and have no problems with it. Signal drops to about 2 or 3 bars in the outskirts but otherwise I never lose signal.
