can someone please tell me if this phone is better than the s710a for video and audio playback? i read that the only headset source available for this phone is some dongle thing that has to be bought seperatly. what is this like and is it better/worse than the standard ear buds used in the 3.5mm headphones jack on the s710a?

also about the size of the screen.is there any point watching videos or viewing your 2mega pixel pictures on the small screen or isnt there much difference? i think if its not better than bareable then theres not much point in it.

just to cover the rest of my queries. is recording only limited by free memory?, can you place mp3's on txt alerts aswell as call ringers rather than just the 6 txt alert presets on the ...

it is really awesome. I haven't used the S710 at all. It was much too big for my taste. This is a great size. The 2 MP camera is really awesome, as long as you're not doing anything motion-intensive. Definitely the best camera that I've ever used on a phone.

The screen is great for what it is, but obviously the size is going to keep the picture quality down. But transferring the pics to a computer is a snap over bluetooth.

There isn't a standard headphone jack on the phone but it CAME WITH a stereo headset that acts as earphones, microphone, and radio antenna. I'm pretty sure that a bluetooth headset can act the same as the default headset, but I haven't tried yet.

kool cheers. yeah i made a mistake on my previous post. the S710a doesnt have a 3.5mm headphones jack its the same setup as the k750i. i thought the headset must surely come in the box as it does with any other mp3 phone iv seen. that was just bad info gathered from some naff site.

this phone sounds really kool. im gunna go out this thursday and see if i can get a demonstration in a phone shop somewhere. i love the fact that it supports PRO DUO memory sticks as the S700i and S710a only support DUO memory sticks which have a maximum size of 128MB. i hear i could get up to 4GB on this phone when the memory cards eventually come about. at the moment 2GB is the maximum but thats still more than enough for me. think i might have to invest into...

It's not quite as loud as iPod can get, but it is plenty loud enough. I haven't been frustrated by that at all.

Definitely get your hands on one. For me, the feel is everything on the phone. This one feels solid without being heavy.

good luck
