Sony Ericsson K750 / W800 / D750 / W700
Whats up with the screen?
1. Do whatever they can to keep the phone small. the s710 is too darn big, and not very useful.
2. I don't want the camera anyway, so I will deffinitely keep the slider closed for that thing.
If I want a camera, I'll buy a camera...
Screen is excellent, camera is excellent, overall great phone.
This one has a small screen, so what? The screen is still plenty big to display pics and info and video. If you want bigger, you transfer the data to your PC. You want still bigger? Pipe it out to a plasma screen or project it with your digital projector.
I want a full featured phone with a megapixel camera, speakerphone, contact and calendar management, and expansion slot for storage. This phone has all that without stupid flip or swivel nonsense (those mechanisms break easily). This phone does all that!

I have heard that the s710a has terribly slow menu/software. That would kill it for me.

And you forgot bluetooth ;)
iMate's online help, through their forums, was pathetic. Their advice consisted of telling me to reinstall the software, and if that failed, reformatting my hard disk and then reinstalling the software. Idiots.
By the way, for all you fans of full-featured phones, I am playing with a Nokia 3230 right now. It has a better c...

Do you mean it won't function as a BT modem?
This S710a swivel is sturdy, I've dropped my phone several times and the swivel is holding strong as if I had just bought the thing.
Bottom line, you drop any phone it can break, bar style, clamshell, or swivel... Doesn't matter, any phone can and will break if dropped too many times or from a great height, unless of course it's one of those Nextel brick phones which could probably survive a nucelar explosion. But I wouldnt recommend Nextel to anyone.
If you're with Cingular, you WANT the 850 band which the K750 does not have.
If you're with T-Mobile, go with the K750! đ

the p710a is a much better phone. why be displeased?
P? you mean S, right?
anyways, i was looking at the pics of this phone, and i think i'm still going with the S710a. the screen is bigger, and the swivel design personally doesn't bother me.
