Nokia 6101 / 6102

Just purchased a used Nokia 6102 for Cingular network. Phone "looks" almost new. When I insert my ACTIVE Cingular SIM card, display still asks to "Insert Smart Chip". Also, noticed that the battery charge indicator COLOR is RED. On my other phone it's BLUE. I swapped batteries, but there is NO change. Any suggestions and comments will be appreciated.
