Any easier way to activate speakerphone?

Just wondering how I could activate this easier. AFAIK, it only lets you select once the call has already started, and then you have to fiddle with the option menu to get to it.
So is there any other way to get it activated?

I wish they had just put a button on the side of the phone like other companies do.

No "fiddling" needed. Make the call then press the soft key in the upper right - no need to go thru a menu to get to it. That turns on the speaker phone. Press it again will turn it off. Just a hint; when you activate it the phone beeps so that you know it's on.

Ohhh, ok. Thank you.
I must not have looked at the manual close enough to see that.
Thanks again. 😎

Oh, and is this a real speakerphone or is it just a loudspeaker? Reason I ask is that I don't want somebody on the other line trying to hear me because it's not a real speakerphone.

Nevermind, found out it was a true speakerphone. Comes in handy as well. 🙂

BTW - if you have difficulties hearing a regular phone call thru the ear piece, just turn on speaker phone and hold it close to you ear. Just be careful not to get too close 'cause it can be pretty loud that close to your ear!!

The speaker is actually on the top edge of the handset right next to the antenna stub (two little rectangular holes). Anyone right around you can hear the conversation too, but it does work well when I'm in a fairly loud environment.

Yea, I wish I woulda thought to use it when I was at the Detroit Auto Show. I had to talk to my uncle for atleast a minute and a half trying to figure out what he was saying.
