Question on infrared...
Ok, so if I have an infrared port on my laptop, I need nothing to be able to transfer files to the phone right? And can the phone send stuff back, or be able to delete stuff? or will you need a cable for that?

You should be able to transfer files to and from your phone and laptop via infrared. To send from the phone select the file (picture or whatever it is) and go to 'send' it will give you the choice of sending via multimedia or infrared (make sure to activate IR prior to doing this though). You can also send between two IR capable phones this way.
