So has anyone figured out how to extend the light time?

Searched all the threads I could find but still haven't figured out if there's a way to make the back light stay on a little longer or are we just stuck with it.

It's a real problem with some games that don't require constant key action (like chess).

Well, I'll reply to my own post.

This is what I got from Nokia:

As a power saving feature, the backlights on most Nokia mobile phones are programmed to dim after 10-15 seconds of inactivity on the phone, unless the phone is in a Nokia installed car kit. The exceptions to this are the Nokia 2600 phone, which can be adjusted to a 30 second delay, and several new models, which can have...

In other words - they ain't got a good (or even bad for that matter) solution. You'd think they would have at least a slightly better answer!

Thanks for your post with the Nokia response!! I never replied b/c obviously I had no idea how to help - and now I see why!
