How can I get rid of "Cingular" text on the main screen?

Does anyone know how to get rid of "Cingular" text logo on the main screen? It gets in the way of my wallpaper and it's really annoying. Please help! 😢

i think thats hard wired in to the network signal

You're probably right. My unlocked/unbranded 6101 that was built for the Asian market says T-Mobile on the main screen. Coming off of the SIM card for sure.

yep, my unlocked t-mobile 6101 (that i got for $99-no contract) says cingular on the screen now!
