Motorola V360 / V361

I can't access the MP3 player

I've had this phone for a week and I am somewhat technically savvy, and I've follwed the manual, but I get it to work. I only have 2 songs on there taking up 7,712 kb, but when I try to open the player, the screen says 'please wait" and has a cup of coffee on there. Any ideas? Thanks
