Motorola V360 / V361

Using this phone as a modem??? Does anyone do it?

I'm looking to use this phone as a modem for my laptop.

But I would need to use the EDGE hi speed data network on Tmobile and bluetooth the internet to my laptop and/or PDA. That way i wouldnt be on a dialup server burning up minutes.

Anyone do this with the V360???

I use a Motorola V551 with EDGE as a "modem" using bluetooth. You have to the Motorola Tools installed on the laptop for it to work (or at least thats how I did it). I regularly get about 100 kps, not broadband, but really pretty good.

Just realize that this probally is not fair use of your data plan and the carrier may not approve of it.

I use it often as a bluetooth modem (T-Mobile). Their unlimited data service is $20 per month. They do not support EDGE everywhere so the speed can vary quite a lot.
