Edge?

I returned my v360 for a number of reasons outlined in a review and an earlier posting. One reason seemed to be that Edge really didn't work.

One thing I found of interest in another forum was a report that Motorola would not be producing any new phones with Edge this year because of problems with their chipsets, which is why the PEBL won't have Edge.

This makes me wonder if it is working correctly with the v360 (and the v330 for that matter). It would be nice if T-Mobile or Motorola revealed this information if it is true. My observation from using the v330 and v360 is that the connections did not seem much faster than GPRS but it is hard to really tell.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

The v360 does support edge! I am connected to edge on my v360 via bluetooth right now. I peak at about 208kbps down and 86kbps up. This phone through t-mobile doesnt show the edge symbol. it just shows the gprs connection symbol but it supports edge! $20 a month through t-mobile.
