Nokia 6682 / 6681
Requiem for a Damn Great phone
Dear Friends,
we are gathered at this thread to pay tribute to a Nokia 6682, taken from us before our time. Not more than 2 weeks from this day, while inspecting damage from a car accident, and juggling insurance papers, this phone was dropped, and it's precious, beautiful screen was beaten beyond functionality. Oh how this user has been upset since that time. Not 2 days from the iPhone being announced, the precious 6682 fell from the grip of it's user, fatally kissing the concrete. No insurance plan covered this phone, and though the SIM & memory card will live on, the phone is lost to us.
So we gather to pay tribute to you, Sixty Six Eighty Two.
Long live Symbian phones! May they be smart, in memory of you, running many awesome 3rd party apps, from Frozen Bubble to FExplorer!
Long Live bitchin' camera phones! Especially those with handy sliding covers that automatically activates the camera app! May the megapixels of other Nokias only grow, remembering your servicable 1.3.
Though you were not small, you fit the grasp of many a large handed/long fingered user - may others continue to avoid unnecessary tinyness.
Nokia may have discontinued you, Sixty Six Eighty Two, but you'll live on in our hearts. May lots of other phones be as awesome.
. . . and now back to using my 3595 until I find a decent replacement.
