Nokia 6682 / 6681

You know, this is kinda unrelated...well it kinda is. I think something is up with USPS. I buy and sell stuff on Ebay and over the past couple of weeks it seems as if nothing I have bought has arrived, and it all has been shipped by the seller, as well, a package I shipped around the same time, has yet to arrive to the buyer. It's weird.

Yeah. It's been too long now. So they're going to fed ex it hopefully soon. So the wait is restarted.

I really like this phone from what i've seen. This is going to be one of the best phones (most expensive) i've had in my life. Which.. has only been 16 years. But before this I had those really big nokia's that were pre-paid. Then I had the kyocera slider from virgin mobile (when it first came out) then.. a motorola flip when the camera's first came out from cingular. Then a A600 from samsung from sprint. So yeah.

I know what you mean by expensive. I paid $300 for my 6682, and paid $400 for the one before it, the Nokia 6620..and just recently I paid $425 for my Sony Ericsson w810. Yeah it hurts my wallet lol

I got my phone! Yesterday! i'm soo happy. I've been playing around with it a lot so. yeah. My sister's planning on getting a w810 I couldn't wait for it to come out with cingular and it's way too small for me.

Yeah, my mom didn't really see a point for the unlimited media.. so no Internet at all.

Well thats one of the things that make this phone so special. It's internet capabilities.

As I've heard. I just got a bluetooth headset and it's really neat 'cause I can listen to my music.
School doesn't allow us mp3 players and after school you get kinda bored so.. nice.. sly way to listen to music. Needless to say i'll be using it more as a mp3 player than an actual phone.

Which headset did ya get?

As much as I love this phone (believe me, more than anything else), if you're using the phone mostly for music you should have gotten the SLVR!

But then again, you would drop more calls. You wouldn't get service in places that the 6682 will get 1-2 bars. You wouldn't have a nice camera with flash and AWESOME video recording.

So maybe the 6682 is best for you. It's best for me too, but I have my days where the SLVR steals the show.

I was thinking about the slvr but everyone in my school's going to have it when we start again. Plus I hated the speakers on the slvr compared to this one. And yeah.. with the dropped calls and stuff. I wasn't really interested. If I could have two phones.. I probably would pick the w810 even though it's not out yet.. it's extremely depressing.

And I got a jabra headset.. it's a temporary fix until I get the chance to get something I really like. Bluetooth headphones are sadly out because my school won't allow it so there's no read use. The earbuds that came with the phone don't fit in my ear.. (same with all earbuds) so.. I'm basically stuck

Ah wait until you see the earbuds for the w810. They fit everyone's ear, even my daughter's ear, and she is only 8.

Really? So not fair. Yeah, my ears are really tiny. So I get jealous of anyone who can wear earbuds.. 'cause I hafta wear.. like the big stuff. Yup, can't wait 'till my sister gets the w810 but I head that a 4gig mem totally kills the battery.

The thing with the w810 is you can use ANY HEADPHONES you want. Well you can with the 6682 too, if you buy the adapter but it adds a little extra bulk to the phone when you're listening to music. If you choose to go that route, then just get you some that are like the ones that come with the w810 and you're all set.

Oh yeah. See that's what I was looking into but I really don't want the extra bulk. I did find some headphones on ebay that look okay. I really don't know right now. My dad's in New York right now so he might look at some stuff for me. We'll see.

aw dude when i get home tonight im trying it. i never knew or tried (i've had an ongoing ear infection so my bluetooth has been shelfed for a bit) your the second person that has said. is your phone cingular branded?

Yup it is. I got it from cellularchoices.net with a family plan. So yeah. I personally think that even though it's cingular branded it's perfectly fine. I mean I have no problems with it.
