not to rub salt in the wound but i have at&t and they said this phone was insurable...i no longer have the ph due to a warrenty exchange for a pearl 
(its horrible i know) i had so many issues they swapped it 
so i never had to file an ins claim, however customer service adv that this was insurable...course they say alot of things i find not to be true tho
