Nokia 6682 / 6681
help me please...
Friends, I just got new nokia 6682. It has many keys which can guide to WAP. considerable key is Media key.
I don't want to use internet on my phone, as I am not ready to pay extra bucks for it. I am already havin internet every where😛
Can any one tell me tht how to stop this packet data option??
By mistake i already pressed tht keys some times...and i already transfered almost 60 kb frm the internet...
any of u knw tht how much it gona cost me...and how to stop this...
I already changed seting of packet data ...to whenever needed...but i don't think its stopped☹️
please help me out....... 😢

Call your provider - I'm guessing you have Cingular, so you can call them up & say that you want data blocked on the phone - no pay per use data, no package, just blocked. It's free & easy to do. If the rep doesn't know how to do that, tell them the code for data block is NWIX. 😉
If you have a different carrier, I have no idea what to do, but I can't imagine they don't have a block data option.
You can also reconfigure your keys so that the internet functions are buried in the menu. The default is to have internet on one of the softkeys, but these can be changed (I've got mine to be for image gallery & music player). That way, you'd have to go out of your way to get to internet functions. Go to Phone Settings under tools.

Luckily..today my friend has took mobile and ...delete all access points frm connection settings..and things works..like..em unable to get any data....

I also changed phone standbuy seting so media button is no more now;)
i went to sight..login there..but while cliking data..they r saying like, YOur rate plan is changed so, billing will be display after some date or like that...em really confused..still:-s
