define "worth it".......

is it worth it to get a phone for $50.00 versus says $150.00 or $250.00???????

is it worth it to have the phone replaced, because you dropped it in the toilet, spilled cool aid on it, your friends cat crapped on it, you lose it, or it's stolen, the screen or some other part is "not work" and it's OUT OF WARRANTY............

can you predict when, any of the above or other events, may occur and render your phone useless?????

NOW....once again.....define "worth it".....

Yes, "I DID"......had it been you..... he'd still be "totally clueless"

"take it back and demand a full refund".......
right........I'm sure lockline will understand that philosphy..........

But I do understand YOU..... you just can't HELP yourself.......it's necessary to prove "constantly".....you're a flaming idiot 😈

Fisrt off lockline does not insure any smart phone or pda. Smart phones are basicly phones with secondary operating systems such as symbian or windows mobile. Therefore paying 3.99 a month is throwing your money down the toliet, and not the phone. When you do lose your phone you will be re-imbursed with the insurance fees, but that doesnt help.

I would insure any phone over $200 in worth and nothing below that because insurance is a scam in general and IMPO a bad idea all around.
This is just for clumsy people that would lose their head if it wasn't properly attached for them. Invest in a belt clip of some sort instead.

And for the third point, watching this battle of wits unfold was funny and interesting at first, but now it is ju...

Danny,

Since I own this phone, and I have insurance on it, I'd recheck your facts about them note insuring "smartphones".....you are absolutely correct, in that they "DO NOT" insure "PDA" phones, although interesting enough, I've actually seen a few that slid through and "WERE HONORED" for replacement under insurance........ The symbian operating system is "NOT" an insurance differentiator either, the nokia 6620 is insurable, and runs the symbian OS.....Several SE's run symbian, and are insurable.....

To say it's a waste, is totally a judgement call, but when you're in "NEED", that's the time you'll kick yourself in the rear end for not having it......having to fork over $50.00, is a lot more appealing to many, than having to fork over...

Well on that note i did add insurance to my phone today, not to say they will honor it but i will take your advice. (I dropped my phone twice this weekend in a drunken stuper and want a new one once it gets too banged up.) Thats just the training cingular paid for talken before about what lockline will or will not insure. Honestly I do not think cingular knows as any mention of lockline to a support contact will get you instantly transfered to lockline.

I called in a claim. After they put you through an automated phone system and tell you not to screw with them or they'll sick their lawyer's on you. I was told, I did not buy the insurance what covers wear and tear. I had the kind that covers breakage or water intrusion and that they could do nothing. They said I could have bought two other additional coverages, normal wear/tear and theft/loss. I had to get tough and inform them I was told of only one cost for all that. He fought me for a while and said I was covered BUT for my discontinued Nokia 3620 they had to send me a non symbian Moto V551, and would not fix mine because there insurance does not cover that.
What a bunch of crap.

This is what I found:

This phone is covered by lockline. I called & added it after I found in Cingular's CSP that it is covered. I had the 7610 which isn't, so I took it off. It's covered, so stop sweatin'...

lockline WILL insure this phone... not sure why but they do. I've called and ask them myself so I know for a fact that it is ok to do.

And by the way this phone retails at 400 from cingular... so 50 for a deduct and even the 50 for a years worth of insurance saves you plenty...
