Unlimited, but I cheaped out and didn't get any text or multimedia message plan in addition. Now I'm thinking that might be a mistake as I keep getting multimedia messages from my family.

I have the old 19.99 unlimited plan, which includes 1500 texts and 200 mms. You need the unlimited internet to get alot more out of this phone and its ability to surf the real internet..

Are you refering to the $5.99 "T-Mobile Web" option? Does this include MMS as well? I see a separate t-mobile $14.99 package for unlimited messaging. How do you send photos from your phone--are you sending MMS message? Thanks in advance.

yes I send them via MMS, email and bluetooth, I almost always send via bluetooth which is free so I just pay per use when I send them with email or MMS...sorry the $5.99 does not include MMS

$5.99 is still cheap when cingular wants $19.99 for unlimited data (with no MMS or SMS credits) and verizon asks $15 for unlimted web/vcast/get-it-now airtime (as long as you don't do anthing on the web they don't allow)

I was at the store today and was told by a sales rep' that I needed a PDA phone to browse the "real internet."

So, can I browse the "real internet" by downloading/purchasing Opera and paying for Unlimited MediaNET?

Thanks.

Ahh...

So, I can use Opera and the Unlimited MediaNET plan to browse the internet? Is this something Cingular knows about and will shut down in an attempt to get 6682 users to pay the $40-$60 PDA plan?

Thanks for your help. I'm thinking about leaving my beloved SideKick II for improved call quality and I figure that I may as well go to Cingular to get better coverage too.

Not that anything is forever, but smartphones(no QWERTY keyboard) are allowed to use the less expensive MEdiaNet plans. So $19.99 will get you umlimited data. Txt msg is xtra.
