Hi I'm really considering purchasing this phone I think this phone is awesome in every way.. My only question is this. How is the earpiece volume on this phone compared to the razr? I know on the razr the earpiece volume was kind of low even when it was turned up all the way.. I really would hate it if this phone had the same problem! Can anyone confirm or deny this??? Thanks for the help!!!

typically motorola's are not as loud as other manufacturers. The set is plenty loud for me, and i thought the razr was a great improvement over the t720 v300,400,etc. series. anyways, as far as being louder than the razr, i would say no, its probably about the same. so it probably wont be loud enough for you if you didn't like the razr. anyone else have different ears than me?

OK....I can answer this FIRST HAND. I had the SLVR for about 1 1/2 weeks....just took it back today for the black razr. The razr earpiece and speakerphone are WAYYYYYY better, trust me, thats why I took it back for the razr. If this makes sense on the slvr when you are using the earpiece in a call not the speaker the people can hear you better and you can hear them better, on speaker....forget it....I role up the windows in my car turn the stereo COMPLETLEY off....terrible...people can barley here me and I can barley here them. From others I talked to it's the model....just has a crappy speakerphone and earpice....the earpiece is slightly better then using speakerphone...slightly...the razr speakerphone and earpice....completley better. I...

Yeah thanks your info. helped a lot. Now I'm completely bummed because I think that the earpiece volume on the razr is way to low! So if this is worse I guess I will be disappointed. I ordered mine over the phone and I'm supposed to receive it today, so I guess if it's that bad it will go right back....

I don't think that the RAZR volume is better, I think that both the SLVR and RAZR are exactly the same. I have the SLVR and other members in my family have both RAZR's, and I see no difference. So if you didn't like the RAZR volume then its the exact same as the SLVR. And yes, it does seem sort of low to me as well but nothing unbearable

I compared both phones Razr first and the SLVR, the volume is low on both phones, however with bluespoon's AX2 bluetooth earpeice the volume sounds cleaner than my Treo 650 with Volume care sound booster. fyi

For me, the earpiece volume is very important. I dunno about he RAZR, but I've fooled around with a Moto v635, Moto v190, Moto v600, Moto v180 & Treo 650. I've also had Samsung phones and for a brief while I had a SLVR (which I returned mostly b/c email client didn't work on Chinese version, b4 Cingular release). I do miss the sweet SLVR, but I must say the earpiece volume WAS A LITTLE TOO LOW. The volume on the Treo 650 is way too low. The volume on the Samsungs & the other Motos is just great.

Mine too, except for the little earpice volume being a little bit too low. 😢
But I love my phone 🙂

😢

the volume on the SLVR is the worst, I have had LG and SamSung and moto and even Siemens phones. The volume is just horrible, I cant hear anyone on this phone, I regret buying it and I even switched from sprint to Cingular just to get this phone, although it does have nice features and it is not comfortable agaisnt your head either. Just my thoughts I would think hard about this one..
