A long while, we recieved an email that it might be in stores late May, Just today, i noticed i was able to pull it up as a 'coming soon' phone on the intranet server... that isn't always a very accurate estimate of when it's coming out, for the v200, it was put up there like 4 days before release, but for the lg535... well, we're still waiting. Time to get rid of my VGA 🙂

The Best Buy invoice sheet (where that information surfaced), is subject to change. The Sanyo 5600 was $499 on that very same sheet as well.It is going to be around $399 when it is released.

Masterpiece? Yes. What other Sprint device comes close to it's camera, user interface, or voice features? None.

Sorry to burst your small bubble but that info is from the sprint intranet site! Also no speaker phone no bluetooth no evdo no masterpiece plain and simple! I could care less if it had a 5.0 mega pixel camera it's still no masterpiece.

The best way to wait for these phones is to simply avoid these forums and just wait.

Spare me. Samsung has told numerous people at the two different trade shows they have showed this device at (CES, CTIA), that the price will be $249-$299, meaning $399-$449 after rebates. Nowhere near $499. Sprint's intranet as well as Best Buy's always change before release. They are never reliable.

Furhtermore, a half-duplex speakerphone (which the 5600 has, and bluetooth don't make a handset. I suggest you go and look up some of the revolutionary features this handset has. Until then, don't lecture me on how you are "bursting my bubbles". 🙄

Sorry but your bubble is busted! No speaker phone the half duplex on the 5600 is so much better than none at all! You have nothing left to debate on! The interface big deal! The text voice to text big deal I don't text mesg anyone I'm over 16 years old. So there is nothing else this phone has that would interest me!

I agree with Tuolumne in this phone being a masterpiece. I have full faith in Samsung. By the way, just to clear something up, the sprint intranet server does not give any indication of cost. Though there is a lot of rumor, there is not price confirmed. In regards to speakerphone... i watch many people 'attempt speakerphone conversations at various times, due to limitations in the technology, it works well in so FEW conditions. You pretty much have to be in a library at which point I doubt ettiquette would allow you to use a raunchy speakerphone. Bluetooth would be nice... but pointless.... it comes with a USB cable to transfer music files and screen savers, and while i'm sure OBEX would be disabled, I would personally never buy it... ...

Are you sure you are not actually 16 years old, becasue that's how you are sounding. The A800 has a MUCH better camera, a higher quality QVGA (it's a Samsung, remember), Speech-To-Text, a MUCH more customizable, animated, and refined user interface, 50MBs more of internal memory (the 5600 only has 3MBs LOL), and buisness card (OCR) technology. Nice try.

HAH! Don't quit your day job! You 3mb of memory is perfect everything I have fits just fine on it and I have plenty of other memory on a mini sd card. So far all the features you are talking about I already have or could care less about. So I think you are the one who sounds like your 16 that's why you got booted off sprintusers! Now that is pretty funny!

Do me a favor and don't mouth off about things you have no clue about.

Now, as for the A800. Internal memory is faster and less battery strenuous to access than data on a removable media card. Furthermore, the A800 still has 50MBs more.

Sounds to me like you are defending your purchase of the 5600 and nothing more. Trying to justify that $460 purchase for such a lousy, unreliable phone.

You keep on applauding yourself on that comment. Go ahead, pat yourself on the back.

You can think your 5600 is the best on the market...yada, yada. Simply put it is a Sanyo. Falls short of all Sanyo regular gremlins (ui), and adds a nice case of reliablity blues with it's creaking hinge. Have fun with that number.

Now about the A800. It was shown in Cargo Magazing this month. Price is $449 with availability in May.
