Phone won't keep a charge
I got my v635 about a year ago. I have had any problems until this past week.
I noticed that the phone would keep a charge for more than a few hours (in standby mode). I disabled bluetooth and recharged it.
Unfortunately, the battery life didn't improve. I got a new battery from shopoem.com (SNN5683A). I charged the battery overnight.
The battery life still didn't improve. Plus a new symptom appeared when i would use the phone. after about 5 minutes on a conversation, a sudden purse of static would appear. The call would drop and the phone's screen would blank. this happened a few time. i figured that the battery was defective.

Where did you purchase the phone?
Which wireless provider do you have?
Of course, most New Phones have a warranty
for 1 year.
*I would assume there's no extended warranty
...so it come down to where you made the
purchase. Your REP might help to replace
if it's in "good" condition.

contract or extend your contract,
in exchange for a New Phone.

i was able to fix the problem by flashing my firmware from 24R to 6FR. see http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t= 726528 for instructions.
