Motorola V635

Hello, I got this phone a week ago and I been having problems with the battery life on this phone. When I finish charging my phone it tells me charge completed. I will then go to the battery meter in the phone and it will say the number 6. Is the phone suppose to say 6 or does it say a higher number when it is fully charged? Also when I use MPT it says the phone is only 60% charged! Can anyone help me with my problem or tell me what's wrong with my phone? Thank you in advance.
