Where should I purchase this phone?

Hello,

It's not gonna come out on Cingular or T-Mobile right? From all the great reviews, I'm thinking about purchasing this phone since I have to get one unlocked. Let me know where I should get it.

Thanks in advance.

pricegrabber.com

This web site will compare daily pricing & shipping cost to your area.

Watch for Restocking fees. Pretty much no company is going to refund shipping/handling costs if you decide that you want to return the phone. But when I was shopping for my V635, I noticed that a lot of places charged a restocking fee. Some of them was as high as 20%. So it could cost you over $50 (20% of the phone's price + shipping) just to return the phone. I bought mine from www.compuplus.com. Their shipping is a little expensive, but the price is for 2nd day air shipping, and they don't charge a restocking fee. If you return the phone, they refund you the current selling price. Can't imagine why you would want to return the phone, but since you're buying a phone that you haven't seen/used, you'll probably want it as an option.

What about tax? The pricegrabbers says no tax, but one of compuplus reviews mentions tax not being listed until order is chargered to your card.

We weren't charged tax. Perhaps the person who wrote the review lives in New York (same state as the store). I live in GA; we paid for the phone and shipping only.

Which version of the phone did you end up with? I am really hoping not to have to reach a french or german book.

🤣 I got the French version. You're ahead of me there, because when I was shopping for them I didn't even know to look for an English version. I had very little problem changing it to English. It misspells "personalize" (says "personalise") and maybe a couple of other words, and the "quick notes" (text message templates which can't be changed) are still in French. Other than that, it was not a big deal. I just googled "V635 manual" and found an English version of the users manual and I was off and running.
