👿 I don`t know. I had my v635 for like 3 weeks now and i`m having a lot of problems with it. It turns off sometimes when i charge it...lately people can`t hear me talk with the speakerphone and most of the time when i pick up my phone people can`t hear anything i`m saying...the camera and everything else is great but my screen blanks and i haven`t even had it for a month...it was a $330 phone and i feel stupid because if it stops working im going to be stuck! I called motorola about my warranty and they tell me "the phone is scheduled to be realesed in ny the second half of the year" ...i don`t know whats that about but they said they can`t fix my phone out here and if i send it in it can take more than a month...i don`t know what to ...

It will not be coming to the US for a carrier! Plus, they don't want to fix it cause its not being sold in the US for a carrier. They claim that might not have the specific parts for the phone since its not meant for the US.

i know! i did not pay 330 for a defective phone which they claim they don't have the parts to fix. i am going to call tomorrow morning and talk to the manager because my warranty is just as good in n.y. as it is anywhere else. I am guaranteed the fixing of my phone or they can happily refund me my money...i am so upset i have been waiting for this phone since i had to depart from my v600 due to all the problems with it and now im stuck with a phone which does not work. Am i the ONLY one having problems??? 👿

No, you are not the only one having problems. I had to return my phone cause it was making crazy sounds, and freezing, and restarting on its own. Then it wouldn't hold a charge.

i am so aggrivated already. how do i return it. I bought it from taggzz on ebay. It was closed and everything and for a week it was "okay" but now its rediculous. I am so annoying with this and i desperately need to find a way to get my money back...i love this phone and i want it dearly but i wasted a whole lot of money on something that doesn't work.

Maybe you could sell it on Ebay. Just, put how long you have used it, and say that you bought another phone so you don't need it anymore.

It's odd that the people on this forum seem to have major issues with the phone but reviews all over the internet are great (including phonescoop). *shrug*

One bad apple spoils the bunch.

AMEN BROTHER! I have this phone and it works great. I bought mine from a reliable and REPUATABLE (CNET, BIZRATE, PRICEGRABBER certified) online store (compuplus.com) for $300 incl. shipping. No problems, no issues, just a good solid phone. Sorry to those of you who may have recvd a bad phone, but one bad phone doesn't make it a BAD PHONE. And from all of the reviews all over the internet, inclding this forum, I think those with bad phones are definitely in the minority, and some I think just like to whine alot (ie terryjohnson16).

Whew! I thought I was the only one. Either way, people will always complain more than they praise. The whiners (as mentioned) not only whine here, but they blab aw...

I agree with both of you! It is an AMAZING phone. I love it. My friends fight over who gets to play with it's features next. Main message this forum seems to be putting forward or at least what should be putting forward is "Fantastic phone but the poor software on some of the devices purchased by some have weakened its appeal to some users." As stated before in the forum and in the review, my Rogers phone is amazing. Happy to be locked in to a 3 year contract with this device. 😁

The reason your device is not having problems cause it has the carriers software in it, plus, atleast you have a warranty on it.

I'm not debating that. I know why my phone is working and others' aren't. Not quite that stupid terry, I work in the cell phone business.

So she purchased a bad phone. There's still no reason to spite someone else with a faulty device so they can have all the same problems. How would you feel if you bought a phone that someone put up for sale because it wasn't working properly. Yeah... that's what I thought.

...and I hope you end up buying it!!! That's why there's so much slimy sh*t on eBay.

What she really should do is call Moto and ask for a number to their CAO (Consumer Advocacy Office). I've dealt with them before and they were really helpful with my numerous v600's problems. They do things way above and beyond regular CS (those reps are generally clueless!)

They do? Cause I thought that when you have an unlocked phone/unbranded phone, they don't want to help, and really suggest that you buy a US branded phone. Good, advice, if they can help her.

Hey baby girl,
You can go to Howard Forums and post your question there. Unfortunately, your phone may have software problems. To give you the info in a nut shell, there are several softwares out there for the phone V635 since different carriers use them. Each software works with their respective carrier. Since no one in the US dared to carry it, you bought one with software for another country. In HOFO you will find that people had to flash their phone (like you would your CD-ROM or your Motherboard) with another software and it works fine now. Your phone probably has that problem, I cant see it to tell you thats what it is, but you can start there. www.howardforums.com

I am still waiting for the price to drop even more in ebay, but...

🙂 thanks i appreciate the help. yeah i realized thats how they get their way in ebay (the shipping). I don't know the phone has all kinds of retarded problems. You know what i don't get...the camera is so good 1.3 megapixel amazing and what not...but once you save the picture and you open it again its all blurry. Whats the point of having a good camera if it then looks blurry? My dream phone ended up to be a load of sh*t (sorry about that) but its very frustrating. I'm going to go to Howard Forums but im trying to get my money back because this month with this phone has been hell for me. 😢
