I am a sales rep for CINGULAR WIRELESS CORPORATE STORE formerly known as AT&T and the the question everyone was asking on this forum was: "Is the V635 coming to the U.S.?" was answered today when I called Motorola about the prize awarded to those who earned enough points to win the V635. I was one of those winners and wanted to know when and if the phone was going to be shipped. When I called them and spoke to the representative there, I asked "Since the V635 was cancelled by us to not carry the device and stated on the contest rules that if the V635 is not available in the U.S. we will be sent something comparable in value(the V551) would be sent instead, What phone are we getting instead of the V635?" I just called Cingular, and they said that they are waiting to see if Motorola releases that phone. I really really think this is bull crap. The V635 is cancelled! Don't believe that crap. They rejected the V635 last month. Thats why its not on the hellomoto.com USA website.

Which part of Cingular did you call? Customer Care, Sales Department, Tech support, Dealer store, Corporate stores? Which one? All I know is I sold phones for Motorola to win the V635 and I'm going to get it. Rumors said it wasn't coming to North America and it did to our neighboring country. As far as it being cancelled there was no confirmation on it. Even when I asked Motorola. So believe what you want to believe. Bull crap or not. I'm getting my phone. 😁

I'm in sales with cingular and I have no idea when it's coming out. We don't know when things come out, that's not our job; all we know is that we have to sell them once they do come out and are on our system. You ming a phone call doesn't make you right. I work at the place you called and I DON'T EVEN KNOW let alone you!

everybody is arguing about when this phone will or will not come out, all i have to say about the matter is that cingular will do to this phone just like they did the the s710. they will wait to release it and make everybody very inpatient. i went ahead and bought mine on-line, and i probably paid the same as a person on cingular would with new or upgrading service! sometimes being patient is not a virtue.

It came to me in the US, via ebay. I'd recommend this phone to anyone, and don't wait for Cingular to put it out. I'll never get a phone from them again cuz I hate all the crap they put on the phone. I just end up flashing the phone with software from howardforums.com or motomodders.net.

Lets not get all rowled about whether the phone comes out or not with Cingular. Getting the phone from them and not from them have their advantages. People who already have the phone have the new "hot new thing" for time being. People who wait and get it from cingular if it ever does come out(i really dont care anymore) get the advantage of protecting their investment with insurance. so lets all get along cause i just got the darn thing FREE from my fellow employees overseas 🙂. so if it breaks at least the price was right.
