Will an OEM Unlocked version (ever) be available?

Anyone have a sense of the possibility or likelihood that an unlocked version of the i730 might ever be available? (or is that only done with GSM's?)

cdma can theoretically be unlocked (ie the sprint treo 650 working on VZW) but why? Most people who unlock do it for overseas travel so they can use their phone with a local sim card. Most of the world uses gsm so an unlocked cdma would be useless (for the most part) outside the north America. If you want it unlocked to switch back and forth between verizon and sprint (or other cdma carriers) good luck with that
