I just got a Samsung SCH-i730 the other day and already have had a few strange quirks. First, I had to do a hard reset on the phone after I got it to enable the text messaging software (about 4 hours on the phone with Verizon and Samsung tech's to figure that one out). The software was just flat out missing. Secondly, when I was in the calendar I read that you can notify attendees of events with either an email from outlook or a text message....the text message option is missing on my menus. This is my first PDA phone and I am still getting used to the differences between having a PDA and just a regular cell phone. So anyways....it has been an interesting learning curve for me.
Now on to my question, sorry for the rant... When I speak on the phone itself (no hands free or bluetooth) there seems to be this strange high frequency resonance which I get through the speaker, and it can be changed by pushing the volume rocker on the side of the phone. Is this normal for this phone and something that I need to learn to live with or is it not supposed to be there? I actually get it through the hands free as well...haven't tried out bluetooth yet. I mean it's not overly obnoxious and I can live with it...but it certainly is obnoxious. Any suggestions?
