I think I've heard that this is a common problem with the i730. With mine, I also have the switch on the LOCK position and when I slide the screen up it unlocks and that's how I use it. I guess you could try doing that to see if it makes a difference, but if not, take it to a VZW store with a tech center and see if they can fix it for you, or give you an FRU.
