Yep, I just posted about the same thing earlier. Most of the zero or .5 ratings are from people who do not even have the phone. mostly motorola employees trying to bash the competition.

I report reviews that seem suspicious.
Any review shorter than 10 words has to be a fake review. I think that reviewer has just signed up for Phonescoop so to me that raises a red flag.
I have checked the other bios of the other reviewers and most of them love the Motorolas and gave LG horrible reviews.
I reported any review that seems like it doesn't belong.
I recomend all users report the reviews they know to be unfair and untrue about the VX8100.

You are right. I used to work for MOTO. I was in the advertising department of a large east coast division. I am not employed by any cell phone or electronics manufacturer any longer so I can speak my mind. MOTO had an organized effort of having employees do just that. They create false sign-ons and give rediculously low reviews of competitors products on boards such as phonescoop. Most have never even seen the products they are bashing. I have worked for a few different manufacturers in my day and MOTO was the only one that did this. They also encouraged sales people for competitor carriers to bash the other carriers non-moto phones.

I just noticed that one of the zero reviews stated that the "low res" outer display was a con. talk about not ever even seeing the phone.

It's a real shame too because for people like me who had to choose their first phone, if I didn't spend the last following both this form and the e815 one, I would have chosen the e815 based on the "3 out of 5" rating.
Well I have the 8100 and there are obvious shortcomings (camera delay, the volume fluctuation), and seriously, we all KNOW the mp3 player will pop up whenever Verizon reveals their MOD service all ready for hacking. Regardless, this phone is clearly a 4.5 out of 5. If we can report bad reviews to be taken down, I think we should clearly do it.
Let people research and make their own choice!

I did that for all the bad reviews, lets get some other people to do it and we can get them removed. I haven't yet written my review, so when I do the score will come up. I also think that the score should be based on a 10 point scale.

i used to hate LG but but are getting up there with sanyo now and it kinda makes since to go with the best phone. right now lg is the best phones to get other than sanyo but who wants to go with sprint just bc of their phones

Funny thing is, even when they rate E815 in Moto's forum, instead of focusing the good and bad qualities of the E815, they rate it by putting down VX8100. What morons would rate products this way???

I've had this phone for a week so far and am very happy with it. Unfortuantely...*boo hoo*...I dropped it in the street yesterday...damn! But it still works fine, even though it got a little scratched up. But I read the reviews with a grain of salt and look at the content, not just the number. Too bad there are people out there just trying to make LG look bad.
