Storing maps/pdf/documents to VX8100

Hello,

Is there any way to get things like maps onto the VX8100 phone? I am talking about yahoo or mapquest maps. I would like to put these on for free. Also, is there any way to install apps on the phone which do not cost any money. I know VZW has some GetApps services which are subscription based. I think this is garbage. There is not even a single game included on the phone. My old Sanyo RL4920 phone from years ago had Crab-Catch.

Thanks
Mike

I have put mapquest maps on my phone. Right-click on the map and save the picture. Save it as a jpeg file. Then you can either transfer it to your card or you can email to your phone.
When you open up the picture on your phone you can use the "zoom" option to zoom in on the map and the directional buttons to move the image around.
