LG VX-8100
Ring tones for LG 8100 ??!!
I just bought over the weekend the lg 8100. I basically like the phone but my biggest draw back is the lack of ring tones. I am with Verizon. Some of the sites I have gone to have the sounds that I want ( fire engine/siren, meow mix song, pac man sounds, etc) but they don't recognize Verizon as a carrier or the lg 8100 is not listed as a phone that is supported. I know you can record sounds onto your phone through My Sounds but they cannot be used as ring tones. My daughter just bought the Razr phone and she can record a sound through My Sounds and then do whatever and it can be used as a ring tone. I am torn about giving up this phone and going to the Razr but I like the function of the miniSD card. Is there any way to get the above rin...

first off, i dropped my 8100 to try out the razr for awhile, big mistake wish i still had my 8100 for many reasons i will not get into. however one key thing the razr offers over the 8100 is the ringtones through messaging, the 8100 has this blocked. Most people buy the music essentials kit, comes with software to put music onto your phone to listen to converted mp3 or use verizon music download service from pc. It also comes with stereo headset adn the drivers to go with the usb cable included. this runs you $30 bucks. After purchasing this kit simply install the drivers from included cd and google a program called bitpim. you can transfer songs pictures movies and all that good stuff using the cable and this program.
