Is there really a limit on the number of mp3's you can have?

i was planning on getting the 1GB card, but if theres a limit on the number of songs you can have, then i'll just get a lower memory card.

The limit is determined by the size of the card, not by some programmed limitation. Get the 1gb, you can fill it up.

ok thanks... and about how much do you think the 1GB can hold in terms of songs?

Depends on how long, or how big in size, the actual MP3"s are. On my 1 gig card, I have 200 songs. Each song, on average, is about 3 1/2 minutes long. Now on top of that, I also have music videos and pictures on my card. If I removed all of that stuff, and freed up the 300 mb that all of that is taking up, i'm sure i could fit somewhere in the ballpark of 425 songs on it.
