LG VX-8100

BitPim/Cable Please help

Hello. I just purchased a LG-8100 phone with Verizon. I wanted to know what kind of USB adapter I will need to purchase in order to use Bitpim. I have looked at ebay but I am not sure which cable will work. I have read some posts that say not all the cables will work. So my main question is which cable will work in order for my PC to communicate with my LG-8100? How do I know which is the correct cable?

I just got mine from ebay. It recharges while plugged in too! It has a sticker on it that states vx7000. But 7000 & 8000 cables work the same. Just make sure the end piece that plugs into the phone has two grooves (not three!). The end should look like the regular charger you currently use, in other words.

Another option, which I use, is a Bluetooth USB adapter dongle that I got on ebay for $11 w/ shipping. It's awesome. I just set my phone on my desk, no cables, etc. and all the info from Bitpim goes straight to the phone via Bluetooth.
