LG VX-8100
VX8100 -Other than Mary424, who has had no problems with the phone?
I have less than 24 hours left on my 15 days. I'm having all the same problems and still wondering why I should pay extra for this "MP3 Player" that doesn't work without spending almost another $100 to get it up and running.

Don't spend it. Return it and get the 815 if you want a functioning mp3 player now. I did that tonight after 13 days with the 8100. I really wanted the 8100 to work. I hoping after this mess LG with get their collective sh** back together and release maybe a 9000 or 9100 that has all the features working and also has GOOD RF and BETTER Battery Life. I was getting 3.5 days or more on my 8000 (standard battery)... I couldn't get a day and half on the 8100. I really think a lot of that was due to the fact that it was always trying to get a signal because the RF was so poor.

I haven't had any issues either. I wasn't looking for an MP3 player either, I've got enough of them already. I have admit I enjoy the Vcast as well. Maybe I just like the novelty of the thing. Hell, it's less than a latte a day.

When you read this forum it seems like ALL the LG's out there have problems, but like I said before, I don't have ANY problems and am just on here to learn more, help others and am addicted to PHONESCOOP, but I think the reason it seems as thought EVERYONE has a problem, is because those having problems get on here and other places to try and find a fix more so than those who are happy with their phones and just get on here for other reasons, therefore, we only usually hear about the negatives and not the positives. I really hope those having real problems do get them resolved, though, and don't give up on this phone. It is a great phone! I wish you all could have a good one like I seem to have got.

I have no problems the only thing my phone started doing and its no big deal and it only happened a few times only when i was sending a text msg in a difficult area was reset itself but other than that the sound is great the camera is the best everything about this phone is good dont listen to this forum I had both phones and I am so glad i traaded in my e815.

i have had no probs with the phone..although i may have lower standards, i came over from at+t aka cingular..and was lucky if i got reception at all!
the phone is good, great?no. i can make calls,i can hear the other person fine they hear me fine..speaker phone works great etc.
mp3? well that is disappointing but i did not buy this phone for the mp3 player [would it have been nice? sure!] so, if you really want a phone that will play mp3s then it's not for you..otherwise in my opinion and based soley on my experience it's great!!!

Count me in on the I'm keeping it, and I have no complaints side! My phone seems to have none of the problems others have mentioned--volume, poor reception, etc. In fact, we just returned from a trip to DC to visit my son. I took several pictures. Of course, the shots are not the quality of my Nikon digital, but, come on, it's a phone! On the Metro, he couldn't get any signal (he's with Cingular 👿 ). I had 4 bars! 😎 My Mp3s play great!
I spent 50 (254 card and adaptor for my laptop) at Circuit City to get the Mp3 capability. It's money well spent.
All in all, I have invensted I guess 250 in this phone--its cost, a case, and the SD setup. For a phone of this capability, that's NOT BAD!!!!!
