Actually no!, I own the lg 8100 and I'm on my four one. But I'm sure verizon and LG will come out with a software update and then I will be able to hear conversations.

Trust me--if that phone came out, I would certainly switch over to Motorola. Verizon won't get that phone though because Cingular already has one similiar.
Could you imagine all the people complaining to them that the same phone from Cingular doesn't have the features blocked?

Yes, I can confirm that too. And on a side note in case any of you "real" people on here were confused by my response to motorolams550, let me just say that I have dealt with him before and he is full of it (not about a razr coming to Verizon, but about being on his 4th 8100 (because he hasn't even owned ONE) and everything else he has said and caused), so just be leary, that's all.

I was being sarcastic about the lg 8100 owners who are on their fourth phone and still hoping for a miracle from verizon. Just pointing out some restarted logic.

About that, yeah that's me that's on the fourth one and I don't appreciate the sacasticness and the fun you are making of me. The only reason I'm on the 4th is b/c they went ahead and kept exchanging them. Each one has had the EXACT same thing going on, which, like I said, I'm sure will be fixed with a software update.

I have owned three motorola phones, and swore I would never get another after the V710. After all of the hype about this phone I expected motorola to correct the problems I had with the T720 and V120.
A phone can have all the features in the world, but if you can't hear the person talking to you without sticking a finger in one ear and jamming the earpiece into the other, and saying "speak up, please" every 2 minutes, what good is it? And that is the problem I had with all three of those phones, so why should I expect that they have fixed it now?
Add to that the hokie sounding ringers, and substandard menu navigation, and all you have left is a trendy phone that really is not very functional.
I have both the VX6000 and the VX440...

I read that they hope to launch it right before Christmas on Verizon. I am trying to verify that with someone in the Executive Offices. I hope to know next week. My contact is on vacation this week.

I had the razor with cingular last month, I am now back at verizon with my 8100 and loving it. You do the math. Razor is not all that.

your mistake was Cingular not the razr, once you use a razr on verizons quality network you might feel different.

I'm sure it's a great phone , but it's HUGE! It kind of reminds me of the old cell phones, circa 1998, that were this big. It's not a problem if you plan on holstering it or keeping it in a purse, but dont expect to carry this brick in your pocket.

verizon isnt going to waste any money on the razr. when was the last time you saw a company like verizon start carrying a phone that another carrier has already been carrying for a year?.....never. sorry but i just dont think it will happen.
