Questions about LG 8100 and this forum
Grrrr!!!! I just lost my long post by hitting preview and then going back. GRRRRR!!!!! other forums I frequent dont do that. GRRRRR!!!!!
ok, better.
newbie here trying to upgrade my v60i Verizon phone. Im a researchaholic but havent done it with phones before.
Learned a bit now about the Moto 815 and the LG 8100 and other phones coming out in the future and feel overwhelmed and depressed.
Here are my questions.
Feel free to pick a number and answer any of them. Thanks a bunch for any help!
1. Why is there the main forum on this site that goes to LG specific. But then if I go to the LG 8100 phone, theres another forum in there only accessible by that page (not by the main forum pages from what I can tell??

The price that Verizon paid LG for the phone is $480 they are selling it for $149.99 after $50 mail - in - rebate only because you are signing a 2 year contract with them.
All verizon coverage is digital so you don't need analog phone.
8100 and 815 have both good and bad sides but Moto has bad quality(like all Motos) and its bulkier and feels kinda squeaky.

Ya know, I got concerned after reading all those reviews on this site. But I also know that this phone has sold some rediculous amount in the week or so its been out. I read the reviews for a reason but I also think that of the people having problems, some have legitimate problem phones that need to be exchanged, some dont work it right, some dont research enough then are shocked by the results - like finding out that the MP3 function isnt working yet, and some have legitimate complaints that are probably common to all the phones of said model - and on top of that - there will be more people reporting problems then people reporting it working fine.
(one has to consider it all)
I played with the phone a bit in the store and even called m...

Sometimes u can get a defect phone like I did at first time; it locked up couple of times and it had volume issues and speakerphone was scratchy, but then I got it exchanged and it works perfect now 🙂

yeah I realized this answer when I asked the Verizon guy later and he said if I wasnt getting my upgrade bonus (and having to sign for 2 years), I would have to pay 4 hundred something for the phone. Then the ebay cost made sense.
thanks!!

😳 🤭 I's a phone.

HA HA.
Yes, you are correct. I exaggerated a bit.

You and me both! I had pretty much settled on the E815 because I rely on phone usage in areas where the Verizon signal can be weak. I understood that Motorolas were good at pulling in signals in weaker areas. Then I began reading of all the issues new E815 customers described with their handsets, particularly concerned with how conversations SOUND. (I could care less about cameras and so forth.)
I don't really understand why Verizon can't come out with a top quality product without a bunch of production problems forcing customers to continually return to the store, which for me is QUITE a drive.
The other big pet peeve of mine is: why don't Verizon executives have sufficient confidence in their "GET IT NOW" service to figure tha...
