Another Problem...SILENCE

All of a sudden the phone stopped making any noises. No keypad tone no beeps, no rings. Tried to play the ringers...nothing.

Tried to make a call with my bluetooth and the bluetooth beeped and the voice command menu appeared, but the voice was not there and it wouldn't accept any voice command.

I shut the phone off...again no sounds.

When I turned it back on all of the sounds returned and everything worked.

I experienced this problem too when using a Mot BT headset. It happened to me during voice command training. For some reason the phone won't recognize my "yes" command. It gets everything else right - digit dial works great - very strange. Anyway, after 3 failed attempts to learn my "yes", the phone decided to quit making any sounds just as you describe. After powering down and back up, all was back to normal. I repeated the process and the problem repeated. Not a big deal - easy to avoid, but its indicative of the quality of the firmware. My old LG phone locked up all the time....

Interesting! I had a similar problem. The BT device recognizes everything... but when I say "yes" it hangs up. It was working fine until just a few days ago. I have not "played" or tried to "hack" my phone. I haven't even tried the MP3 player stuff.

I've erased and re-paired the device, took out the battery, and nothing. No change. Still hangs up once I say "yes".

Mine doesn't respond well to 'yes' but if I raise my voice the second time it works. Overall the voice system is inferior to Motorola's though. The only thing better is the digit dial. I think I'm gonna try a diff. bluetooth headset. I have the HS820, seems Moto and LG have a hard time communicating 😳

I have also had a problem with the phone accepting my "YES". It gets everything else but never the yes. The voice dialing on my 6000 was much quicker. All you did was push the button, say the name and it was calling. This voice command is too fussy.

Yeah the 6000 was way better, plus you could say 'cancel' and start over - why do they always go backwards with these things ? 😕

6000 is better phone then E815, I had e815 for my wife just return it she did not like at all compare to vx600, the verizon rep told she own VX6000 to it is very good phone.

So bye bye e815.

Still checking how vx8100 is, I don't like to return this one as it look very nice but if problem persist I have to return it.

I do have the problem of silence, one time front screen blank out so far.

On the 8100 you say "clear" and start over.

Thanks for the tip! But I can't get it to recognize 'clear' even after training it twice.
