LG VX-8100
Anyone else think Verizon is holding this phone to push others?
I'm starting to get the impression that Verizon is holding this phone in order to push the newer (and lesser/cheaper phones) coming out or they don't want to hurt sales of phones already out. If I had a choice between a phone with everything on it (Bluetooth, Camera, Memory and high-speed access) and a plain Jane model released on the same day then I wouldn't even bother looking at the plain Jane unit.
I'm sure the E815 and the 8100 are going kill sales of the other phones in stock.

I think the LG VX8100 is being delayed so that Verizon can move old stock. The wireless BT headsets, MP3 hard-keys (that the E815 doesn't have), and the abundant 512MB memory with expansion are all reasons why the VX8100 would kill sales on the older stock that people out of the loop will be fools to buy. So, after the Father's Day and Independence Day BONANZAS get rid of the old crap you'll see VZW launch the new LG VX8100, Moto E815, and the Samsung SCH-A970. Unfortunately for LG Verizon's greed cost them a sale as I've would have jumped at the chance of getting that phone a month ago, but now, I will wait for the Samsung SCH-A970 which has the MP3 hard-keys, expansion memory, and BT wireless headset compatibility that I'm looking for, ...

You guys are killing me! You make it sound as if it has been delayed and the fact is that it has not. Just because they did not list it in the info manager the same time they listed the E815 means nothing. The fact is it will probably be listed Monday or shortly after. Get a grip!!

3 phones on the same day was unheard of. that was only cause they were rolling out v cast. i love how people keep saying "they've pushed back" the release date for the 8100. there never was a release date in the first place. when i first saw the 815 coming out on the 5th i was hopeful that the 8100 was coming out the same day. but that's looking less likely since we still don't have dummy phones, call out cards, or a pricing up on our intra-net. i'm sticking with mid to late july for the release. i don't think the samsung a970 is even close at this point. maybe christmas time on that one.

well, i currently am on my 2nd samsung a310, and i have dropped calls galore! if i walk into my bathroom, it says 'no service' and they cracked in the hinges!!! I so hate samsung!!! plus the charging input slot is a bear to put the cord in.

I've posted the same awhile back and everybody said I was crazy. That's exactly what they're doing. That's why all the advertising. They release a phone like the 8100 nobody will want the 8000, 7000 or the 6100. And they are definitely greedy. Why do you think they crippled the BT. I wish they would take that slogan "We Never Stop Working For You" and shove it. Like any big business, they are working for 'themselves'.

Welcome to capitalist America... Imagine a company out there just to make money. Of course they are trying to get some of the old inventory out before they release new phones what company wouldn't. If VZW is bugging you that much on not releasing a damn CELL PHONE then you might ...

Not saying you're wrong. I'm in NJ and the major channels, TV & radio run ONLY VZW commercials. Constantly. I don't blame them for trying to sell off old stock, I am annoyed that other carriers have had these phones for awhile but VZW didn't seem to care enough to satisfy their customers with up-to-date technology. WHY?

I would definalty have to agree with you about the phones. That's why I decided to leave VZW.

I have been waiting for this phone as well but it's not going to end the world if VZW is trying to make a smart business move and move other inventory out before I can buy this phone.

I have also justed looked up on that Samsung SCH-A970 and I am now starting to get mixed feelings about getting the 8100. 😕 can anyone tell me which one is better because if they both come out on the same day I think I will be gettin the samsung

The Samsung does look pretty sweet. I'm thinking the same thing. I also want a better camera which it appears to have.

the one cool thing [well ok theres alot of cool things about the smasung a970..but i love that it has a real zoom lens on the camera as opposed to the crappy digital zoom, the memory on the lg-vx8100 though is also way good..hmmm i'd go with the samsung a970,but at this point could take either and be content!!
