LG VX-8100
8100 speakerphone/voicedial
I am sure this has been answered, but i was wondering if the phone must be opened for the speakerphone, and if the voisedialing works like the 6100 with the voice commands or if it is like the 7000/8000 with just plain voicedialing? I got tired of reading through threads so if anyone out there has a demo i would love to know? thanks

oh i forgot one more question, will my data cable from the 8000 fit this phone?

Don't know about the voice dialing but the flip must be opened for the speakerphone. I called LG with a couple of questions and that was one of them.

I would assume with the voice dialing you might not have to open the phone because what would you do if you were using a wireless headset? I guess maybe you hit a button on the side of the phone and it might prompt you through the front speakers for what name or number to dial?

Don't know. Possibly. I asked if you could use the speakerphone with the flip closed and they told me no. Maybe you can hear but not speak.

thats annoying, my 8000 is like that and it drives me nuts. I know you can trick it by plugging in a headset, placing a call, close the phone and remove the headset, but that is just a hassle. I just hope the voicedial is like the 8000 and not that crappy voice command system on the 6100 and 4500.
