Yeah, I know this has been discussed plenty of times. I just wanted to let everyone know what I heard. The sales guy told me it will be on sale in June or July for around $150 to $200.

Firmware is software-or an operating system for your phone. It is eaisier to navigate through. Every Moto I have had has camewith some inherrent glich or some sort. I have had no problems with LG though so my opinion is that they are more reliable.

I work with the phones every day... LGs had some issues with firmware recently.. and so do motos how ever more techies tend to goto motos since they are more customizable(hackable)... as for the two phones I believe more people will buy the LG 8100 since it will be "userfriendly"

my personal reasons for the Moto is
1 Signal
2 style I own the v710 and love it
3 software(motorola phone tools rocks)
(multimedia transfer aka (ringtones, pics, video), phonebook, dial up, and calender sync)and its all done via bt
4 firmware on e815 is amazing was playing with it at a vendor show last night, however the LG rocks too
5 EVDO its not available for me right now but only a month or two away
6 Tflash Card already have a 265mb

ok thats ...

So your saying you can sync to a PC with BT on the Moto but not the LG?....

I assume this is a hack for the Moto, why not the LG?

the only thing I've done to my phone is a seem edit..not really hacking took like 5 minutes and a usb cable... it enables the tflash transfers for media file to phone... there is softare available on the lg side but I don't think they are as impressive as motorola phone tools... and I think its going to be had to hack into the lg8100 to enable the ability of using mp3s stored in the cell as ringtones.. since lg and verizon as so close partners I'm sure it will be hard to get around using get it now for ringers... also I haven't seen lg offer any software for pc sync... so you'd have to use a usb cable to have this feature and with the moto outta the box(non hacked) you have this option with mpts

I have a Mac and a PC so the Mac should be able to sync to it fine if I could unlock the BT. As for software if you mean BitPim or the Qualacom (sp) software I know of that but no others.
