4 Questions:

I have 3 questions:

1) Will the bluetooth be like the Motorola V70? Which only works for a bluetooth headset but not for linking it to your car or computer?

2) Will it have vibration mode, a feature which is recently missing from LG phones? (I don't talk about manner mode which mutes everything, from ringers to button beeps and new message reminders. I just want regular sounds on everything, and vibrate and THEN ring feature, or vibrating at all volume levels not just with the highest volume, like the recent LG phones).

3) Will this phone be able to be used for a high-speed modem on a notebook computer? (the 8000 is not, that's what I've read in some magazines).

4) Digital only or tri-mode?

Finally, I hope they'll add some oth...

#2 - As far as I know - and I actually own the phones - these LG phones does NOT have a "vibrate and THEN ring" feature, or vibration at all volume levels.

All you get is full "manner mode", or vibrate along with the highest ringer volume only.

The phones I'm talking about are: VX-4500, 4600, 6100, 7000 and 8000. There may be more which I don't know about. Check it out and see. They used to have it on previous phones, though, like on the VX-6000, 4400, and more.

I have the VX 4500 and I can put it on Vibrate only, or otherwise known as Manner mode> then I can also put it on Vib and Ring, which is only at the highest level but I like it that way. What do you need more than one phone for? As far as I care that is good enough. STOP COMPLAINING!

Hmmm. Do you work for LG? Why are you screaming at me? 😢

I will not stop complaining until I get what I like. Every other phone includes that. Manner mode may be good for sitting by a meeting, but not for daily use. Let me explain. Sometimes you'll not hear your phone rings due to a noisy environment, and that's what vibrating helps me. Sometimes you don't feel the vibration (i.e. the phone is not on you at the present time, or you just took off your jacket, etc. And that's what ringer is for.

Usually I DO feel the vibration and I pickup the phone right now. It's not important for me that everybody in my surrounding should turn their heads to me and hear a LOUD ring. Just in case I missed the vibration, I'd like to have a ringer ...

It is called MANNER MODE, meaning it has to behave itself. I am sorry that you are so picky about what goes into your phone. I am sure that LG doesn't make a decision on the idea that it will be a downgrade. It was probably to confusing and LG wanted more market share. Every company should know that when you change something you are ging to lose some customers in the hope you will pick up new ones. I personally can't stand the programing on other phones (moto, samsung, etc.etc.) LG is way ahead of them as I am concerned. As an example Honda cars are far more advanced then others, but they are very simple to operate. Gotta go.

You can have vibrate with ALL volume levels. You can not have vibrate THEN ring. They are simultaneous, but it is functionable on ALL volume levels.

That is the way it is on my 8000.

To your question #1, I think you might mean the V710 but you are incorrect in saying this can not be linked to your car. The crippling from verizon does not impact you using the bluetooth with a handsfree system (it works just fine with my 2005 town & country which has the factory installed UConnect feature for bluetooth.
