Picture "too large to open" error... need feedback please

by WadeCH83    Jul 6, 2007, 11:46 AM

Ok I've been on here looking around for about two years and I'm just now registering so this is my first post.

I've searched for my issue in particular, but didn't see anything really like what I was seeing, or people weren't describing their problems in as much detail as I would like.

I know it isn't a resolution or file size error, I think its an actual but but correct me if I'm wrong.

One example, I transfer a picture from my phone to my computer (have tried both using a memory card adapter and the Motorola phone tools program), adjust the brightness / contrast which is all I wanted to do in the first place to make it show up better on the phone, transfer it back and it's "too large" to open, even though the actual file size is smaller, and the resolution is the same.

This even happened with one picture I didn't alter at all...

I even tried shrinking it to 320 x 240 at the norm 72dpi, and the 176x220, same dpi... same result.

Anyone else experience something similar to this?

Thanks
