Banner and backlight timeout

I have tried to "customize" the banner and it still keeps saying Verizon Wireless on the screen. Also when I change the timeout for the back light from the factory settings of 15 seconds, the change only lasts as long as the phone is turned on. If I turn it off for any reason such as charging it resets back to the 15 seconds. Any one else with this?????? Thanks

Verizon tells you on their website that they do not permit banner change

I noticed the backlight timer thing also. I have the 6256i. I'm constantly changing it thinking its me. At least I now know its not only my phone.
