I just spoke with Nokia and posted an answer.

You can't use your downloaded ringtones with contacts if you have Verizon. The only ringtones you can use are those you purchase from Verizon.

Some ringtones you create will work if they don't have digital rights management imbedded. All you can do is create them or download them and try.

I suggest we contact Verizon and get this removed from this phone. My wife got the LG phone and she can use any tone she wants however she wants. We both use Verizon too.
