Got one , no AMPS
Ebay, Verizon stores will not stock this phone.
Radio Shack also has it. After 2128i has sold out Verizon will not carry any more NOKIA phones,because NOKIA will not use Verizon UI.

What is Verizon Ul? Where did you get that info? Just curious because so many theories abound about these sorts of things, some which turn out to be true, others false.

Verizon UI, Nokia UI...It's all on the type of USER INTERFACE: the organization and format of the screen of the phone.
There is one more phone I'm particularly interested in, the Nokia 6265. Hopefully the rumor isn't true that Verizon will stop carrying Nokias. At least if they do, I'm hoping they will still support the 6265, Nokia's are a very popular phone and Verizon would be making a very unwise decision.

#1 Is the charging port smaller than other Nokias (i had heard a rumor they were going to a 1.5mm plug versus the standard plug nokia has always used)

Now I'm really confused. I'm on this page because I did a phonescoop search specifying only Verizon and Analog Roaming, nothing else selected as "important" or anything. This Nokia came up on the first page of results. You mean this phone is useless in areas that have analog coverage only (such as parts of Vermont)?

Nokia updated its site with info that reflects that the phone does indeed NOT have AMPS on Verizon 6236i.
