Well, the P207 is now on CIngular's site for $79.99 with a 2 year contract. They should make more phones in all black. It looks really good.

I asked around yesterday, the two stores I hit hadn't even heard of them. They aren't even in the local warehouse yet, apparently.

I'm an agent for cingular and they aren't available for order yet. I was just wondering. On the website, it says "online offer only" I don't know if they mean the price or the phone itself (as of now).

It's an online phone only..the company owned stores have not even been made aware of the phone. I ordered one on the 15th and hope to have by next week.. Cingular will be offering phones that you can only purchase online and are not available for purchase in the store..this being one of them.

This phone will become available in Cingular stores nationwide, though it might not be til the second week of May. There is not one phone that is online only and cannot be purchased in a company store.

This phone states "online offer only" because it was just released as well all know on the 15th and will only be available for purchase online or through customer care for the next 2 to 3 weeks.

It will indeed become available for purchase nationwide by Cingular, thus it is a company branded phone and of course, Cingular will carry this phone to be viewed and purchased in stores, but not right away.

Lets be realistic about it. This seems like a great phone, but with of a wireless company with over 50 million customers...they will offe...

Exactly...If Cingular will be doing "online only phones" how are we (agents) suppose to work...It's being in freakin' competition for the same company. It's ridiculous!

I understand that "online only" means price, however Cingular will begin to offer "e-commerce" only phones that can not be purchased in the retail store. How this will affect agaents I dont know. Cingualar seems to be trying to push a lot of its sales to be conducted via the internet as it is more cost effective for the company.

I guess you've just got to figure out which is better for the company. In the town I work out of, a lot of the people are not into the internet thing, most of the customers I get still want to go into the store and pay cash for their payments. You know? Cingular is doing themselves good, but they will end up losing certain customers they still like to do business face-to-face with a person. I personally, wouldn't have a problem with online sales, but I believe that internet sales are horrible for new customers; The few in my town that do get service online are usually in my store fussing about not getting certain service, etc.

I completely agree, I really only recommend internet sales for customera who know exactly what they want, as far as making any chgs to you accts ALWAYS call or go into a store the website is still too buggy to trust it to make acct chgs but you really can't beat some of the online pricing for the phones....and furthermore when customer do go intoi your stores please don't refer them to us telling hem we'll give credit 👿 its makes the whole company look bad when one person says this and then we have to tell them no due to internal polociy. Nothing agaisnt you at all but jsut try to rephrase how you tell them or at least note the acct fi yu have access to system that will let you note. well there is my morning rant time to get ready fo...

I don't tell customers to go to customer service. If I cannot help them, I refer to customer service, but do not tell them this, that, or whatever. Too bad, I think I'm one of the only agents that even cares...A lot of Cingular's problems come from miscommunication from agents with customers. Most agents don't care as long as the customer gets out of their hair.

Thank you for being one of the Agents that does actually care about teh customer. You are one of very few. I constantly get call from agent for simple things that they could jsut as easily fixed themselves. Good to know that there are Agents with brains after all.

This phone has GREAT features and a GREAT price. Cingular would be making a HUGE mistake by offering it online only! I wanted to buy this phone personally, since I'm an agent, I can get somewhat of a good discount. I will be really pissed if I find out this phone definitely will NOT be available in stores!

The only reason some phones never make it to the stores is that alot of times there is never enough stock to ship it out to every store in the nation. Such as the SX66 and teh CT66 both of the those phones have gone thorugh periods in which they were on the website gone the next week and back again serveral times. Whats the point of shipping phones out to the stores if you cant even offer it online...THe phone that are usually online are becuase there is not a lasrge enough stock to supply every store with teh phones but they want everyone to at least be able to purchase the phones though some channel rather that not offer the phone for sale at all. Think about ti if the A630 came out but the stock was limitied and was only listed on the ...

BTW online offer only means that the only way to get "that" phone for "that" price with "whatever" extras may be included is to order it online.
