question about memory and MP3

by daknees    Jul 11, 2005, 9:06 PM

Hello.
I understand that this phone has 100MB of shared memory. I know what shared memory means, that everything that is stored in the phone uses memory from the same pool of memory. The only thing I'm not familiar with is how much 100MB actually is. I do not have the phone yet, but lets say I have a few pictures stored and an average number of contacts stored, how many MP3 songs would be able to be stored in this phone. I understand that it's nothing like an Ipod or anything, but I want to get a general idea.
Also, generally only about 20 or so songs are able to be stored on other phones with MP3 players right? Well, with this phone, is there any way to expand the memory OR have a portable attatchment that stores data that can just hook up to the phone? Like one of those USB portable drives. This may seem silly, but I'm not sure if this is really possible or not.
Thanks.
