Ringer Fading In?!?!

I've noticed that my ringer fades in. I don't know if this is something recent or always there and I didn't notice. Maybe its a feature I can turn off or something cause I'm not very fond of it. Anyone get this? For those that don't understand, my phone rings very low for about 2 rings then gets loud. It's pretty annoying, especially if you have nice ringers.

Well just got off the phone with Samsung and the rep tells me the phone shouldn't be doing this. She says I should exchange it for another one. So guess I'll be doing that this weekend.

BTW, how do your phones ring? Is it a regular ring or does it fade in also? I just wanna be sure that other phones work fine.

Don't return your phone just yet, because mines does that as well.

I have my ringer as an mp3 that I downloaded using 3gupload. It too, fades in.

If you do get a new phone let me know how its working out, I might be as well switching also 😎

Well I'm gonna see if they just let me test another phone before I make a complete exchange. That's why I'm trying to find out if anyone's phone doesn't start with a fade.

My ringer fades in as well. When you have vibrate/melody on at the same time it vibrates for the first 5-10 seconds then it starts to ring fade in. I think it would be easy to miss a call that way. Tough to show off your cool ringers, too.

This is my first Samsung. Nokias are a 4 alarm fire when they go off (vibrate and loud ringer all at the same time). I think my old motorola used to vibrate then ring but it didn't fade in.

Mine fades in even if its on Melody only. I'm gonna go to the Cingular store this weekend and test out another p777. If it does the same thing, I'll just deal with it.
