All things considered, its a very positive review. You have to expect the lack of bluetooth and speakerphone to be a knock on the phone. I can only image the raves this phone woul be getting if it actually did have at least one of those, if not both! All I can say is that this is a great phone.

I agree, the review was very positive. One thing that struck me was the fact that when the phone is closed and idle, you have to actually open the slide to be able to "activate it". Is this true? You can't simply press one of the interface keys to see the time, signal strength, etc? Anyone know?

That's extremely inaccurate. All you have to do is hold the side volume keys and the phone activates. It's really a fantastic device. If you're interested in picking it up, I can answer and questions you may have about it.

Good to know, I thought that seemed a little out of the ordinary. I am thinking of switching from Verizon to Cingular and picking up this phone. I just have some worries about Cingular service in NYC and the surrounding areas. How is the performance in this area?

Also, I read some place that is is possible to upload MP3's as ringers on this phone through a certain website. Do you know if this is true? Thanks for the help!

Well first of all, Cingular service is NYC is great. I live in the Bronx and its great. I work in Manhattan and its great, finally my girlfriend lives in Westchester and its great again. I had Sprint for 10 years and it was fine but I would get drop calls every so often. I've yet to witness this with Cingular. I think you'll have no problem with Cingular in NYC, especially with EDGE and the use of AT&T towers.

Secondly, you can upload MP3 ringers through 3Gupload.com. I use the service and it works great. You just upload the MP3 to the site and they cut it down for you. You pick the time interval (up to 30 sec) and they do the rest.

I have a question is this phone ENS capable? I have a 64 bit sim card and wanted to know if this phone was ens capable so it can pick up the stronger signal. Anything else i should know i should know positive or negative about this phone? Is it really true it can record video at a higher resolution then the reviews say?
